So he gets max sentence of 15 years when he is eligible for parole.
Welcome to SA justice system. This is why criminals rule in this country.
i dont think he will get his own cell immediatelyThe only sentence that could be given.
He will and is in a single cell for his safety.
Hopefully they slip up somewhere.......

If previous patterns of bias are repeated he will probably get a few years tacked on and serve full term, just the way it is.I'm going to have an unpopular position but that sentence is way too harsh taking in context our justice system. There are people who have committed murders and are back on the streets in 5 years.
It all likelihood this guy is going to be out in less than a decade due to prison overcrowding.... Assuming he survives
I read a book where warders used to take a single cell prisoner to another prisoner's cell "to watch TV". It the book by J Steinberg called The Numbers. Guy apparently would always spend days crying following these TV watching sessions, he was a political prisoner who was supposed to be segregated but warders felt he shouldn't be deprived of a chance to watch TV with this other guy.Who do we bribe to make that a definite? Let's crowdfund that.

So you are saying we should forgo the rule of law?Just because the system is wrong doesn't mean you should pander to it.
No, you should be calling out the other sentences as too lenient, not this one as too harsh. So you are saying we should forgo the rule of law?![]()
Well no, 15 years before parole, and (if granted) the five year sentence will then begin. Same same, but differentThree counts. Life plus 5 years plus 5 years (one to run concurrently) so technically it’s 20 before the possibility of parole.
Correct. His sentence is fitting. Yes it sucks that others get sentenced for less for murder etc but at least imo available justice has been served. No, you should be calling out the other sentences as too lenient, not this one as too harsh.
Except if he does that he gets called a racist.... you just can't win.No, you should be calling out the other sentences as too lenient, not this one as too harsh.
Rape gets a life sentence while murder and some robberies get only a few years. It does look like our legal system singles it out while not taking on a whole seriously. No, you should be calling out the other sentences as too lenient, not this one as too harsh.
