The official Battlefield 4 thread

newest issue: the inconsistency is back. one round I can aim and shoot perfectly at a guy across from me running to cover, next round I can't hit a guy standing in front of me.

talked to an old BF vet yesterday, Mandarin for those of you that know him, and we agreed on one thing: we try and play the game for fun and your friends keep telling you, "just play it to have fun", but the amount of annoyances just overwhelm any feeling of "fun".
 
Last night was the worst it has been for game crashes. Happened nearly every round.

I was fine with it maybe once or twice an evening but I am getting annoyed here.
 
Last night was the first night I had major problems. Well.... "major".
I was kicked from one game, had 1 crash and one freeze.

Im at an impasse regarding choppers though. Its like they have no "purpose" in the game that a jet can't do better AND get away.
To give myself an idea of how 'easy' it is to kill choppers/jets, I got into that AA vehicle for the first time. One of my better scoring matches sadly, as you can tear anything out of the sky.

I would either give choppers a bump to their armour or give them 2 insta-use flares, that recharge like the AA missiles. Or both.
Jets I'd give a bump to armour.

Other than that, I need to learn patience. I rush too hard and too much in the open, leading to many and prompt deaths :D
 
I am having an "interesting" problem with my bif4......
When I quit a map after playing a round or 2, I can't connect to any servers again, without restarting my comper.
If I try and connect to a server, it just keeps saying Joining Server.... And it will continue to say that until I get impatient enough to restart my machine, then I am fine again...... until I quit the game, then it is the same story again.

Other than that, I only experienced 2 disconnects after a round of playing.

That, BF doesn't lend itself too kindly to the Rambo style of play.
I am still learning that the hard way as well...... Lone Wolfing aint exactly that much of a successful style of play.
 
Only issue I have is BF4 hates my joystick. I can bank, I can pull up but I can't bank and pull up at the same time :/
 
Itching to try battlecreen on the iPad... got to level 10 last night so tonight I'm going to test it.

To do this you get the battlelog app, login to battlelog on your PC, go to servers and connect as commander... haven't actually got it to work but I also haven't tried yet.

I am having a problem with the choppers too. Perhaps it is a new "feature" or a bug but its fusking annoying. Every now and again (random) the chopper takes like 2 minutes to reload the gun(seat 2) or missiles (seat 1) and it always happens at the worst of times.

From the Beta, seems to be a new feature, when you're shooting, see the ammo count in the bottom corner, there is a white bar that "refills" your ammo, fire your ammo too fast and you have to wait for the bar to fill up before you get the next ammo clip, its flippin annoying!!

Yeah, I was playing in the testing ground trying to get my bob-n-weave right in the scout chopper, and in trying to learn to aim properly, saw that ammo/overheat. I now try shoot in bursts, and only when the target is actually lined up. Easier said than done though... I'll still blast a full clip at one lone dude running away from me.

Is it out yet? I tried a couple days ago and could not connect and I have a ipad and the app. Did a quick google search and a website said it wasnt released yet
 
Guys, don't know if you can help me, in my server list I see very few pings from servers. Those without the ping showing I can't join.

What I noticed is that I can't join any room where the ip address has a port number greater than 30000.

I am using Telkom LTE on a Huawei B593 Router.

Having a look sig you don't seem short of money, why don't you have at the minimum a 1 meg, you live in an estate and telkom never ran lines?

You would not want to play on those server anyhow, 250+ pings. Look for servers in europe. Also go to www.pingtest.net and test your ping and packet loss.
 
Yip, in an estate and no lines. Had a 10meg line where I used to stay.

Pingtest yields a B score to CPT and A to DBN.
