The official Battlefield 4 thread

that server browser seems to bonked.

I would get sub 50 ping on there, but then I join a server and I get a ping spike every few seconds of 500+,

but doing a constant refresh in server browser yields that sub 50.
 
Hi, does anyone know what is the average amount of cap used per hour on BF4? meaning MB per hour or so?
 
This is getting bad, I haven't been able to play for 2 hours.

Battlelog say "PLAYING BATTLEFIELD 4 ON PC" in the blue bar but the game screen is stuck on the loading screen

I can connect to empty servers fine, but not ones with players on

I haven't really started playing. I'm waiting for all clear reports. The launch bugs is what spoiled BF3 for me. I've invested R4,000 in this game for the next few years ... I don't want to be irritated.
 
Good strategy. At the moment it is extremely irritating.

This game makes me want to punch my screen and hurt small animals!
80% of my deaths i get killed before i can even see the person or have any chance of reacting and the bullets hit me all at once.
Thats not mentioning shooting a whole clip into someone and them then killing you while looking in a differetn direction.
I read that lots of people have this issue but it seems for them its intermittent, for me its basically all the time.
Watching LevelCap play his hitreg seems on the money, although he did mention a hitreg problem in the game.
 
Crashes have been less and less. Played this weekend with no hiccups.

One thing that bugs me is the amount of times I appear to be "one shotted" - as in sudden death. However, when I unloaded a clip into someone, he complained about being 1 shotted, so either the servers are aggregating all hit regs within a short space of time or some are registering but I'm not getting an indication. Think its the former.
 
One irritating bug I've noticed i when I empty a clip, reload... and then there's a short burst of fire again after the reload finishes even though I'm not actually shooting at the time.

Unrelated, BF4 is a step too far for my old PC at home. Which is unexpected since every other game I own still plays fine at medium/high settings. The first time I've been able to play the game properly was on a friend's laptop yesterday, which means I'll be ordering a new PC this week. I guess getting 6 years service out of a gaming PC isn't too bad.
