The official Battlefield 4 thread

Ive had almost no problems, but that being said my game only runs near to pefect on WIN8.1, latest drivers & some tweaking.
Only real problem is I sometimes cant connect to certain server but that seems to be server side, take a look at this vid:

Frame increase from WIN7 to WIN8 is just crazy.

Frame increase from windows 7/8 to 8.1 is also high. Recommend 8.1 for bf 4 without a doubt. The latest .net is included in windows 8.1 and offer huge improvement in bf 4.

Damn. I guess its time to upgrade to 8.1 then.

My game crashes randomly. Either when connecting to a server or once in game. It will just freeze and bomb out.

I run:
I7 - 3770k
GTX770
16GB Dominator Platinum RAM
850w Silent Cool PSU
ROG Maximus V Mobo
Watercooling
Windows 7 x64
250GB SSD

Doubt it's my specifications...

I know you may be one of those people who hate windows 8 even though it is barely different to windows 7 but install windows 8.1, make sure you have the latest drivers or try earlier drivers. You can also turn off hyperthreading because it can crashes for whatever reason.

If you have overclocked anything reset everything to stock but i would highly suggest you get windows 8.1.

It's most definitely the game.

I am playing on an i7 / gtx660m notebook with little / no crashes - also win 7 x64 pro. My fiance's i5 / gt630m with win7 is having a hard time with the bugs / crashes and periodically has the load screen crash or soundloop crash.

Building a decent spec'd desktop machine for future titles and hoping the win8 machine will perform better until Dice has sorted these rather annoying and game breaking bugs.

If you do have access to win8, I believe it may perform better - especially 8.1 that allows for the "old-style" desktop that we are used to :)

Any excuse to whip it out... :)

Not your specs, I have the same issue... Seige of Shanghai is the worst map, always crash.

Only reason I have 8.1 one my PC is because of BF & have actually made peace with it just to get & much better performance, & I was one of the most out spoken haters of WIN8.
Like doob said Win8.1 one with the newest display drivers & you will have a lot less issues. Just insane how much better 8.1 runs the game.
I am averaging about 50-60 frames on 1080 with medium settings on my 6 Core AMD & GTX 560 the fps will peak well over 100 & never drop under 50. On 7 I am luck to get an average of 40 FPS.

This game makes me want to punch my screen and hurt small animals!
80% of my deaths i get killed before i can even see the person or have any chance of reacting and the bullets hit me all at once.
Thats not mentioning shooting a whole clip into someone and them then killing you while looking in a differetn direction.
I read that lots of people have this issue but it seems for them its intermittent, for me its basically all the time.
Watching LevelCap play his hitreg seems on the money, although he did mention a hitreg problem in the game.

I feel you. I almost destroyed my monitor due to this.... Luckily I have no small animals around....

A clan mate told me the netcode is rubbish. Get shot before you can even see the person. BF games always start off poorly but the basic foundation is there. Just a matter of ironing out the bugs but for me the worst is pumping 6-7 shots into someone's head and they don't die but i randonly hip fire and first shot is a head shot :p

Overall though it is as expect, a poor opening but the game looks amazing and with the patches it will be amazing.

At least they are making it their top priority. Hopefully we see it in the next couple weeks.

It might take a while before we see the patch released, as it has to go through proper testing and certification, especially on consoles. Hopefully the new fixes will be part of a day-one patch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when they launch later this month.

I find that a bit odd, why didn't the game need to go through the same process i wonder.

my main crashes have been server side issues.

only problems have had client side, has been where you get disconnected from a server and want to rejoin, and it won't go in.

nothing a PC restart or browser close doesn't fix.

but haven't played since my mouse decided it's on leave, so no clicking support. :(

Pretty good night last night, no full crashes just the sound disappearing now and then while driving tanks.

Couldn't play at all today, I had the stutter for the 2nd time since I bought the game 3 days ago. The game is unplayable when that happens.

BF4 on Twitter said a patch will be coming out Tomorrow, hope it fixes all the bugs, becuase I'm not planning on going anywhere this weekend:D
