The Official BlackBerry Bold 9900 Thread

I find my when I am on the net and I am paging down it is erratic it minimizes then maximizes and opens links without me wanting to. Is there something I am doing wrong ? My 9800 never did this,

I really hope more applications become available soon! If not, I may be forced to use my BB as a phone only! :)

With QNX around the corner I don't see more apps coming out for the current OS

Between these issues and the poor battery life, I'm even happier to not be an early adopter for a change. Gonna wait a while and see how things pan out.

When is QNX expected to be implemented?

Early next year. Believe it or not!

Its all nice and all but the **** thing about the new first QNX phone "colt" will be slightly smaller "playbook like phone" full touch screen, so unless ur into touch and unless bb announce some new devices with qnx nothing exciting happening there

I think that RIM knows the importance of qwerty keypads & will announce those types after the Colt. They just following market trends that seem to go the way of massive touch screens such as SGS2 etc.

Looks like the Colt wont even ship with BES so really not worth the wait.

I'm glad too see that the BB 9900's price dropped from R8000 to R6600. If everything goes well I will buy one soon. I'm not prepared to buy a phone cash for more than R5000.

I heard last night that they were going for mid 4K cash at Vodaworld. Can anyone confirm/deny please?

Battery life problem

I have been waiting for this phone for a few months but 2 of my friends are complaining about the pathetic battery life. thinking about the samsung Galaxy s2 instead? Comments?

I'm tending to lean in the same direction...away from BB...I know ziltch about other phones/platforms though but know that I like BBM and push email from the BB platform. I'm torn.....:wtf:

I agree, I want the new BlackBerry, but all the reports of the horrid battery life are concerning, not really sure of what to do either

Does the Android OS have true push email for all types of accounts?

edit: sorry, actually wrong place to start this line of questioning...I'll go over to the Android forum

Nice review simple one, seems ur cons are related to mainly cover / pouch problems....other than that, battery life being just over a day is good on 2G, nice thing on os6 / 7 is its quick to change from 3G to EDGE and other way too, so that's nice part, hasn't put me off the device, as I want this phone :) :)
