But in ALL fairness. The oke is brilliant. Many other places let their "best" werkas repair your car. Whereas Tommy does most of the work himself. Sometimes it's worth waiting for quality.
 
This is what Mine looked like a couple of years back. Stood around for a while, and now I'm (very slowly) stripping it to sandblast and re-spray.

For those who know mini workshop... must make the call by 9 i think on what to do.

Either I go fetch it today, and take it back next week for Tommy to work on. Or I let some other guys work on it, which I'm not sure are as good as Tommy's reputation.
 
Something doesn't sit right here with me. Phoned them now, asked who will do the job if Tommy is not there, "O no, one of the other guys" and then requested cash when I pick up the car.

You guys that have had work done there, how did you normally pay?

Anyone know tommy well enough to find out if these guys aren't trying to do something behind his back?

Or am I just being paranoid?????

lol... paranoia? I've always paid by EFT prior to picking up. Just take my POP with me. They wont do anything behind his back. He's a biker and he doesnt just bark... That oke bites too. They likely prefer the cash as its easier to keep off the books?

lol just spoke to my boss who had his mini done there. he also says i just need to relax :)

i feel a little better now :D
 
I would like to see if I fit in a mini, I'm too skaam to randomly ask someone and I hardly see some rollin' about.
I'm 2.04m @110kg... I kind of want to buy one and restore it... but if I don't fit what is the use...

Mini's are a lot bigger than you think. Long legs might be a problem, but you can always mod your seat a little further back :D

No, she's got the Aussie doors. I'm pretty sure they were added at some stage, and I'll probably try to find some MK1 doors at some stage, but right now I'm not loosing any sleep over it :)

I'm 1.91, and 130kg, and I fit quite easily. Might be worth going to look at one that's being advertised and giving it a try.
