I see Gilloolys PR still shows cancelled for next week but the others close by already green-lit.

My "cheapy" huawei may not be perfect but R4000 for 4 year old watch is ludicrous to me. Yet it still looks like a good price in comparison with the newer stuff lol.

What's the watch gonna do next? Run for you?

Lol - been waiting since my first Forerunner 310xt back in the day for the watch to do more and me less... yet here I am, on my 4th Garmin, 15 years later and still no silver bullet.

It's mostly been about GPS accuracy and battery that needs to last 12+ hours in GPS mode for me over the years otherwise I would have preferred a 'smarter' watch.

That's a valid point, a big battery would be lovely. Gl with your sale

Technically have run 4 Pb's in a row at parkrun. Ran a different parkrun in my hometown and got my pb there.

Today ran in uvongo and had a nice dip in the ocean, super refreshing. My glutes are a bit upset with me tho haha.

Some of the big Parkruns still cancelled. Apparently issues with getting approval from landowners and the council. Plus months of paperwork and getting all volunteers on board proving to be a thorn.

But this slow roll out could be a good thing. The ones that did operate in Jhb didn't attract that much of a crowd anyway.

Are all the Durban PR's closed or what?

Headed to Gateway area for the weekend and not too keen to drive to Toti

Both north beach and umhlanga say they're still closed on the website. Do you stay inland? Perhaps 1000 hills isn't far from you?

Edit: Had a good look at their FB pages, looks like they're very close to re-opening.

Anyone here using those energy gels?
A marathoner who uses the top of range Maurten, said the one with the caffeine gave him the best energy return.

I use Bioplus which is great but only 10ml per sachet where most gels are 30g+ so more required.
Picked this up on special - works out to R2.90/10ml - so you can literally go to town with its 90g/shot of caffeine.

Gave it a skip. Will be back at the local PR this weekend
