Not great from a time perspective but I stopped for 35 minutes at a water station to wait for a friend who started in a different batch but we ended up missing each other. When I realised I had missed her, I set off again and caught up to her at the 13km mark. My official time was a 05:10 but in reality it would've been about a 04:30 so I'm not too disappointed with that. Also had some knee trouble at around the 38km mark which hindered me for the last 4km but hobbled through.
Just glad to be out there in marathon mode again. Hopefully from a Covid perspective, it was a success in terms of not being a 'super spreader' event and other events will be able to open now too.
