Your 1k run is better than my no run
I'm beginning to think there is no end to my lazy spell![]()
Nfi how I did it but Saturday's PR was a PB of 23:39
Weird thing is I didn't feel like my previous sub 24's where I knew I was pushing hard![]()
35km mock marathon run yesterday, all I can say is owww that freaking hurts.
Anyone here doing the Gunrun later in October?
Last long long run before the marathon.
30km in 2 hours 59 mins really happy with that time as I managed to run the whole way. Last week I really battled from the 25km mark.
Looking forward to some tapering.
Very nice time. Got a goal in mind for the marathon?
I'm not too worried about my time but would like to get under 4:50 to qualify for the Comrades, although I don't want to run it next year. I want to do the 100th year of Comrades in 2021 I think that will be a special one and my first.
That being said I should get under 4:50, I would be happy with 4:30 or under, very happy with 4:20 or under, ecstatic with a 4:10 or under and blown away with under 4 hours.
The next marathon I do which is going to be Feb/March I want to do under 4 hours, now that I sort of know what I'm getting myself into.
LOL I know the feeling. I did a duathlon a few months ago and was finishing quite strong, overtaking people, chatting to my mate etc.... I had 800M to go and I took a tumble (I blame trail running). Man I felt like a muppet....So I tripped and went flying on yesterday's run
Grazes will take a few days to heal. Thank goodness I had my knee guards on![]()
I see a lot of people are moaning about his shoes, the fact that he had a team pulling him etc... Man, I challenge ANYONE to run that pace to the loo, let alone just one KM. An amazing feat!!!Kipchoge run a sub 2 hour marathon was awesome to watch.
Well done Kipchoge!!
