The official running thread™

Definitely room for a longer stride / stride improvement. My stride length used to measure at 1.94 back in the day when I ran 10k competitively.

Dang just realised I can see mine on Garmin Connect. It's no wonder I'm a crap runner

Whats
your GC ( ground contact time left & right) and vertical oscillation like?

Vok I hate when you okes speak foreign!

Nfi tbh. I doubt my cheapy garmin does all that stuff. I didn't know it did stride length until 5 minutes ago

Go to the Connect Web and to a specific activity.

Under stats it should show something like this if your device is capable.

Don't worry. Nobody else does either. It's the bounciness of your hops and how far forward you fall while falling. :p

Now you've made me curious. SO has a 55. Will see if that shows it and use that for a run or two

Won't mean much to me but hey it's another stat

You should upgrade your watch then test it over a distance of 21.1km

Woot! ForeverRun Nitro 2s have arrived.
Yeah mine too. Took it for a 16km spin this morning just cruising along at a easy pace. I love it. It feels like I could potentially do some tempo workouts in these shoes aswell.

Just got back from taking mine for a spin. 8km Base run at 6:00. Felt good. Think it still needs some breaking in, but so far happy with them. Took it up to 3:32 and felt very good at the faster pace.

Initial thoughts:
Roomier than the Velocity
More cushioned than the Velocity
Definitely feel the stability in the heel counter
More cushioning in the mid foot
Less slappy than the V1 ForeverRun

Will need to get used to the lacing system and upper.
Upper felt quite rigid with the ridges over the toebox
Tongue is less padded than the MagMax, with the lacing system of the FrR2 I would have liked a bit more padding.

I've run in mine on Wednesday,Thursday and again this morning. Not gonna lie, I think it's my favorite shoe right now, especially after four high mileage weeks. It really makes a difference in my recovery.
I can already feel it softening up after 70km's

P.S. Puma has a 25% discount today, but the funny thing is, the FLASH30 code still works too!

I've done 2 sessions in mine. Did a threshold yesterday and at 05:20 it felt good. Really liking the extra bit of width the FRR2 offers and the stability is doing me good. Had a slight ache in my knee, but that's because of getting used to the cushioning of the MagMax for an entire week.

That must be Puma's longest ever "flash" sale. Pity it's not a higher discount otherwise I would be tempted to do stupid things.

I think the 25% counts for already discounted items too. Sadly nothing I want/need there.

Meh run today. Not sure if it's due to the stressful day or what's going on, but my HR stayed in zone 3 the whole time.
