The official running thread™

Anyone know of a local online store that has the Coros Heart rate monitor for sale and in stock? Google search hasn't been helpful. I'm considering getting one for the days where I don't want to bother with a chest strap. I could import from Amazon.com, but want to see what local options are available.

Coros local site shows as sold out.

I mean it looks nice to have. I like the segments leader board thing but I cant really justify just paying for that xD
I think the most useful thing for me is the run matching so you can see your improvements over time.

Ok so before I can do a garmin training plan for a marathon its recommending that I first do a 10k plan.

Avg pace currently 6:41km .

Whats a good pace to aim for in a 10k?

Will probably go with coach Greg
Would putting down 5:00 as a goal pace be suicide

Did a 5k charity run yesterday dressed as an elf. It was horrible - cold and windy with horizontal rain, and a lot of standing about waiting before the start. Really struggled with the run.

Rest day today, much needed...

Tomorrow's scheduled Runna workout looks like a bastard

Unless you naturally gravitate to run at that pace then I would say yes. You can 100% achieve it with a decent amount of time but i would not advise that starting out.

What is you weight and height btw? That really matters as well.

As I said before it should be doable. My average easy pace runs were 6:30 and I managed just under 5:00 as PR. Don't remember that I pushed myself to the limits to achieve it. Think it was tough, but still had gas in the tank left.

Not really a 5k pb, just the fastest since I installed Runna
