Bit of a weird question, but I'm looking at the Xiaomi Note 9 Pro 128GB, and for the price ~R6000 and performance, is there any phone that comes close?
How do the cameras on these phones compared with a Samsung? Not that this ain't a good device, but for a few bobs more, I'd take the Oneplus 7T.
It's around $400 @ the moment.
Samsung wins for me, the video stabilization is better, photos are clearer. There are a few YouTube videos of comparisons. How do the cameras on these phones compared with a Samsung?
This is a good question. I guess we'll see going forward. At least Xiaomi bootloaders are easy to unlock, so I'd imagine sideloading Gapps wouldn't be too hard to do should they also pull the plug on Google like Huawei did.Should one now be concerned in regards to having access to Google services for example, on Xiaomi devices?

Just saw this... The 64GB 9 Pro was restocked on Friday at Takealot, and went on special (with the wireless ear buds) for R4999. Although not 128Gb, it does take a memory card. Did you get one by chance?Bit of a weird question, but I'm looking at the Xiaomi Note 9 Pro 128GB, and for the price ~R6000 and performance, is there any phone that comes close?
Not yet, still thinking about it.ThanksGood to know it shouldn't be a total train smash for users.
