Nice! Enjoy the new toy. Always nice to receive them on Fridays so you have the weekend to play with it :D

Thanks for that link surfs-up. Will order accessories as soon as phone has been received. Could you please send me a link to the ring that you mentioned previously too?

I bought this one. Yes, I know...I didn't think I would ever use one of these things, but they work well - swivel round and round, and when not using it, just close the flap. When your finger is through the ring, the phone is totally secure. It comes with a sticky surface on the back, but to make it extra secure mounted on the back cover of the phone, I added an epoxy.

I must say I am really enjoying the Mi 6 thus far. Was a bit hesitant when I ordered it bit so glad I did. I see no need to get a samsung or lg again.

I am just experiencing a little bit of issues which I hope someone can help me with.

When I have my wifi on at home and use the yatse remote everything works fine, I then lock the phone without closing yatse. If after 10min I unlock the phone yatse indicates that my wifi is offline and I have to exit and open the app again for it to establish a new connection.

When I stream a radio station via wifi it plays fine, lock the phone and after a couple of minutes it starts buffering a lot and eventually stops so Im just wondering if my wifi is not going into some type of sleep mode?

Try this:

Open the Security app on the phone. Head to Battery, then to App Battery Saver. Find Yatse and select No Restrictions and see if it helps

Congrats. The Mi Max 2 with all it's smooth curves and large size, is very slippery in hand. You will need to get a rubberised cover for the back which solves the slippery issue, and just handle it with care until you do get one. I use a Nillkin back case on my Mi Max 2 also from GearBest

Are you on the stable or dev rom? I'm guessing the split screen would be on MIUI 9, as I can't find it on 8. IIRC, MIUI 9 stable will come first week November. Don't know if I can wait that long, that dev rom is taunting me.

I have never had any problems with the developer ROMs and you receive weekly updates but if you want to move onto the stable ROM you would have factory reset the phone and then load the stable ROM

First week November? I doubt. Xiaomi sucks with updates and their testing takes a looong time imagine when will we get Oreo.

I agree with you. Oreo should already be on the Mi A1 but because Xiaomi is handling their Android One updates themselves, they are way behind the proper vanilla devices like the Nexus range and Pixels.

The longer they take to push out Oreo, the less inclined I am to pull the trigger on one when the price becomes my right.

Google haven't released Oreo to Android One yet.

I've had dev rom on my Redmi note 3, last year for a short time. Can't remember, when you install the dev rom, is it like a upgrade or does it replace everything and you have to start all over.

Also saw that. Though no confirmation on which devices. Also, they're mentioning that it will be for India, does that mean Global roms or INDIA ONLY.

So this morning I drove over my Note 4 - it survived... surprisingly - but not in a good state.

If it was bought here, send an email to MIA, they are generally pretty quick on fixing and actually work out cheaper than other places.

Don't think it will be feasible to fix, its bent in the middle, side buttons don't work - screen is shot - back has an imprint of the road - submitted an insurance claim.
