The Official Xiaomi Thread

Sure thing.

R2111.20 per device (Redmi Note 4 32GB ROM 3GB RAM SD625) = R4222.40
R15.00 approx for Priority Line shipping (7 - 15 working days), free shipping takes up to two months but customs would be a bit cheaper
R313.00 customs and clearance

R4550.40 or R2275.20 per device. It took eight days to get from being shipped by Gearbest to me having it in my grubby little paws :)

After the package gets to SA, Aramex will phone you for your e-mail address (for me, this was day six). They then send you a mail with the total amount due (day seven). After you pay this they release it and it leaves for the local depot closest to you. The next day (day 8) they delivered to me.

10/10 would use again :D

After reading the gearbest thread i realize i forgot about paypal.
I've only used them once but that was ages ago, what are their fees like? or is that already part of your breakdown?

I used PayPal to do the conversion and the amount posted was the amount I paid. More or less. The PayPal conversion was perhaps R15 more expensive?

I normally change the value to rand and let my bank do the conversion.

Ha, I like the video :crylaugh: I will bookmark it - I can think of a lot of friends I would like to send it to at appropriate times :crylaugh:

I had my volume on the laptop turned up to 100% and it scared the living daylights out of me when it started autoplaying :crylaugh:

Where can I get a Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro screen repaired in Cape Town?

Got a message I can upgrade to the latest MIUI Beta - but will not. Rather, let somebody else have the fun.

Will wait a bit for the bugs to be chased out, then upgrade. After all, why fix it if it ain't broke...

Learnt my lesson with iOS...

I was told by a Xiaomi rep in Makro 6 weeks ago, that it is actually the Core group that brings these devices into South Africa officially. They the same guys who run the iStore and official apple distributors ... So surely they could help?
