The Official Xiaomi Thread

I’m still foncused as to how the Mi 9T comes with the Mi Dialer while the 9Pro doesn’t.
Aren’t both the devices running the same version of MIUI?
You and I both. It seems to me that Mi 9T was the last global Miui version which got Mi Dialer. 9T Pro, Note 8, Note 8 Pro are all shipping with stock dialer. Only the Chinese versions are retaining Mi Dialer.

I fear Mi 9T may have been the last and that's why I grabbed one.

I'm just irritated that they removed the sip settings from a lot of the dialers. With no easy way of reactivating.

I travel a lot internationally, so it's essential that I have it to avoid roaming costs.

Got my Mi A3 - awesome phone! Just... huge.

I'm used to a Redmi 4x, which was a 5 inch phone. This new phone feels so much bigger.

Its so much faster though, man! That CPU is incredible. I was so used to how slow my old phone was, I didn't really notice. It is so much better having a quick phone.

Battery life seems better, too. Only strange thing is that, I put it on charge last night, and it stopped charging at like 55%. Don't know why. This morning I carried on charging it at work and it was fine. But why did it stop charging? Charger was still connected.
Are you happy with the screen quality on the Mi A3.

Is it visible in sunlight etc?

Does the A3 have a notification led light that flashes when you receive a message?

Thanks

Just sold my Mi Max 3. Very sad to see it go. Without a doubt the best phone I have ever had. Sold it to a rep who currently walks around with 2 phones and has to charge them during the day to get through. I had her at 2 day battery life, dual sims and dual Whatsapp :)

Happy with the screen quality yes. Resolution isn't super high, but in practice I don't notice a difference. It looks good. Colours are good, nothing is washed out. Just looks good.

Haven't used it in bright sunlight so I don't know. But I think so. Has quite good auto brightness controls.

I believe so. I think I've seen it, I just don't really look for it. What it does have is the ability to activate part of the display without using much power. So, notifications appear on the lock screen, even without the phone being unlocked. I think it does have a notification LED but don't quite me on that.

In general its a great phone. Fast, long battery life, good screen, stock android.

Can't remember if I have asked before. Anyone using full screen gestures instead of the virtual navigation buttons?

I tried to get used to full screen gestures but without the bar at the bottom for the virtual buttons, I find the space bar and bottom row of letters on the on screen keyboard too low down resulting in a lot of typo's and miss types. When I have the virtual nav buttons on, the keyboard keys feel in the right spot again.

I use them on the pocophone. It takes a bit of getting used to. But it feels much more natural now. I won't go back

I use an app called Fluid Navigation Gestures (Fluid NG). It is more customisable than the default options for gestures.

Anybody have a bad experience with the software update 10.4.4.

After I have done it my auto brightness just goes to low at night, it was fine before hand

I use it on the Mi 9, works great took me all of 1 minute to get used to it, i easily switch between my note 4x and mi 9

Firstly, remove your number, and secondly, maybe post in the classifieds on the site

Takealot now also sells the Miband 4 for R799 after Mia Africa started stocking it a month ago
