Sucks to say this but you might have better luck ordering the part from AliExpress or some such and handing it in with the phone to an independent repair store and ask them to replace it.Vodacom repair shop doesn't wanna fix my phone because the IMEI "isn't on their network" or something I can't understand. Even the Pakistanis repair places don't want to look at my phone.
I am so annoyed. I didn't expect it to be this bad. No more Xiaomi devices for me I guess.
I'm not sure anyone's going to be willing to work on it even if I get the part. I swear I felt like a leper with this device going to the repair shops and them all but shooing me out with, "We don't work on that brand".Sucks to say this but you might have better luck ordering the part from AliExpress or some such and handing it in with the phone to an independent repair store and ask them to replace it.
Usually they turn down repairs if they don't have spares, as they won't risk buying a batch of parts for a relatively uncommon device.
Did you read anything I wrote? I wrote what's wrong with the phone, and that I'd contacted MIA and they'd told me I had to return it through Takealot and now I'm currently busy with trying to arrange that but I have a feeling it's going to fall through because nobody can be arsed to help you when you have this stupid phone brand.Mia.africa.com contact them they are the official suppliers
oh sorry, did you buy the phone through Takealot or Mia? When I had a broken phone from them 2 years ago I returned to them and I bought it from Takealot.I'm not sure anyone's going to be willing to work on it even if I get the part. I've had some tell me it's "part of the motherboard" so they can't fix it and I would have to replace the phone. That's BS because I've literally looked up the part and it's a power button attached to a flex cable that connects to the motherboard. I can't believe how many times in my life someone's tried to convince me something is "the motherboard" and I have to replace the phone just because they don't know how to fix it or can't be bothered to.

It's pretty damn good. Although on the expensive side. The safety features are good. I accidently just tapped it with my knee and it switched off.How are you finding the heater? Winter's almost over but planning for next year. Is there much benefit over using a normal heater with a smart plug?
Thanks. I'll probably get one. Hopefully they throw in a price drop soon. It's pretty damn good. Although on the expensive side. The safety features are good. I accidently just tapped it with my knee and it switched off.

Same. Been looking for one from an official source for a while. Seems to be only BidorBuy or some online phone shop in Cape Town.Where can one get a Xiaomi Note 10 Pro? Looks like these are hard to find.
Anti-consumer behaviour like crazy if that is true. What the hell!I saw today Vodacom has the Redmi note 10 Pro listed for R4599.... Out of stock of course.
I still haven't been able to find out if the Vodacom variant has dual sim disabled. On Facebook someone complained that their second sim slot was glued shut by Vodacom. Can someone confirm or deny? No point in getting it with single sim.
