I do not think there is repair facilities in SA. Most people just put it in the dustbin and buy a new one...Sup guys. Can someone give me the inside scoop on Xiaomi repairs? My mi 8 has a broken screen and I'd prefer to repair it but maybe that's just not cost effective? I'm based in Cape Town but I'm guessing I'll have to send it to jozi? Is it easy enough to do it myself?

ThanksHave my old RNote 3 too.
His battery life was garbage around year 4 running a few custom roms (which became dated) but after installing Havoc OS on there it's now lasting really well.
(I keep it alive as a backup / use it for crap like Whatsapp that I don't want to have on my main phone - then it lasts about 3 days, compared to running down in a day with an older OS)
It's amazing how big a difference the OS has on a phone's batterylife.
Had a Samsung Note4 with stock software that ran down within 6 hours tops.
Took the hassle and ROM'd it a month ago to see if it's the battery that's shot (considering the age it seemed very likely), now it can idle for days.
Wonder how many phones get discarded due to awful battery life which is just due to some software issue.
