The Operating System Debate Thread

I'd be glad to . . . . but first . . . what's a weel? :D

Ask Charles Dickens

'and my fellow-workmen - for that yo are to me, though not, as I knows on, to this delegate here - I ha but a word to sen, and I could sen nommore if I was to speak till Strike o' day. I know weel, aw what's afore me. I know weel that yo aw resolve to ha nommore ado wi' a man who is not wi' yo in this matther. I know weel that if I was a lyin parisht i' th' road, yo'd feel it right to pass me by, as a forrenner and stranger. What I ha getn, I mun mak th' best on.'

MS-DOS 5.0 ftw :p

Probably MS's most stable OS, I loved messing around on it, and the games were fun! There was something satisfying about managing your memory manually, or trying to configure your sound card from the command prompt :D

Question: Can we discuss Vista too, even though its not really an Operating System - since it barely Operates and "System" implies " a coherent interaction of parts to form a working whole"?

Hehe, I was a member of that club too! Many hours were spent with trying to get enough ram to get a game to work!

I still use those "skills" to this day, when making bootable ghost imaging dvd's, or OS pre-install disks!
