Rebeltech can assemble the whole thing, you'll just have to pop in the GPU from Wootware.

You can get a cheapie mouse and keybord combo for <R500 for now.

The only way to get this build close to R14k would be with an i3-8100 @ R2569 but I would not recommend that.

What about if he went with a Ryzen 5 and an A320M motherboard, Wootware has a Ryzen5 2400G + a Biostar A320m for R3678 that's a R1550 saving on the mobo and chip which is just below the price of the CPU alone on your build. Yes the 2400G is a bit slower but it also gives the advantage of adding another 8gig module.
Additional savings by just using the Vega 11 until he can get a better GFX card, it can handle Fortnite and CS GO.
If he was wanting to play Overwatch or Doom or anything on high detail on a 4k monitor then I'd say no.

Hi,

I am looking for someone to do a custom build on PC with a backup server. Main purpose will be to be the main system for running server at home. Gaming is a secondary consideration. There are some items I already have but am willing to invest far more to get everything upto date.

At the same time will it be better off to go to a provider like Evetech to get something "off the shelf?"

Please PM with some examples of work that has been done and I will get in contact with further details

I am looking for an 8th Gen DDR4 mobo for my ATX case. I currently have a monitor that works with an HDMI cable.

Which is the best mobo to go for?

I want to look at at either the 8th Gen Coffeelake i5 or i7. I also already have 4x 64-bit (8GB) DDR4-2133 CL14 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) Ram sticks.

Are MSI motherboards any good?

I am looking at the MSI Z370 SLI Plus (https://www.loot.co.za/product/msi-z370-sli-plus-atx-motherboard-lga-1151/blzb-5179-g010) which seems will cater for my needs.

Asus was the best...they've been cheaping out recently while keeping their premium pricing. They've got a slight case of Intel-itis (though Intel can at least say they do make the best performing chips).

I usually just send it to Frontosa if ever I do have a problem.
I am actually going for either MSI or Gigabyte with my next build in April.

My personal preference is gigabyte but i'll be happy with asrock & msi as well. current mb is msi.
