16k for 3060ti now was 12k on 23th Nov was lol
With the monitor it seems reasonable. Sadly PC prices are high now, a year ago I would have said about R9k for that what storage does it have@UrBaN963 @Lupus (And others)
So, that loan PC I was on about; my mate now needs cash monies and want to sell it to me. Thoughts on the current spec and if his price is reasonable?
- Case (Not sure, brand, but its nice, sleek and has a window )
- Decent PSU - will get model number - but it could do with an upgrade if I went with a bigger GFX )
- CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 - 3600 - 6 Core
- Memory: 16GB - Don't have brand info (Will check )
- Motherboard: MSi X470 Gaming Plus
- GFX - GTX 1060 - 6GB
- Screen 1080 27" Philips
For all that, he want's 12k.

You probably won't now noIt has my SSD 980GB drive in there.
Not sure I would be able to build something for less, with this level of performance.
I'd upgrade the GFX and PSU next year though to a 3060
It's a reasonable ask.@UrBaN963 @Lupus (And others)

Ah see so 9k would still roughly be rightLooking at Carb,
GTX 1060 ~R4000
X470 ~R1400
R5 3600 ~R3000
16GB ~R1000
Total R9400, so you'll have to figure out if the psu/case/lcd is worth R2600...
Yeah I’d say it would be. Screen is probably 1800 to 2k on its own.Looking at Carb,

Would this be a good base to upgrade in the future? GFX and maybe CPU wise?
True, it suits my needs exactly. I don’t see me upgrading the card anytime soon as I only play ACC. Maybe if I started playing FH5 or some other car game…Yep, decent enough build and the price is fair. What's more, you already know it works fine.

They are pretty old, 2016 first release, potential pitfalls of a 5yr old GPU?
Can the paste lose its ability to conduct heat?No warranty so if it dies no recourse. If you do get one strip&clean the whole thing, repaste gpu.

What's the recommended paste to use?
And what are the 1070 8GB like
^ Am I counting 10 fans?
Built my 1st PC in 8 years. Things have changed a lot.
Took me 12 hours. 8 of which was troubleshooting no post. Grinded until 3:30am.
Eventually issue found. god damn PCIe 8pin to 2 x 8pin was faulty.
Modular and had spare cables. Replaced it and whalla.
