Hey i have A R5000 budget and i would like to build a new PC with good graphics for games but its not only a gaming PC...i would like at least a 3Ghz processor in the PC....can anyone give me the names and prices of compatabile parts and pls include a good monitor of atleast 1600×900...i have done so much research but i there are issues with shipping/compatability/stock /price...so pls advise me if u can tx

Full NEW system + gpu + monitor for R5k is not going to happen.

U won't be able to get a new pc for 5k.

Check a few pages back.
With some help from the members here I managed to put together a decent entry level gaming pc for under 5k using a 4th gen i5 and a gtx 1050ti.

Hi All

I built myself a desktop pc running w8 a few years back and so far I have been very happy with it; even with w8 as it runs very light on pc power.

My big issue started a year ago when I went from fixed line internet to LTE wireless. I have tried a few different PCIe cards and USB adapters and none of them has been fully long term reliable.

Please give me some info on locally available (Like Takealot, Wootware, Incredible etc) network adaptors for a desktop pc, that you have had good personal experience with, and that does not drop signal after a few months of use.

Looking for recommendations for a case.

I am going to be doing a Coffee Lake ATX air-cooled build. What cases would you recommend that allow for good airflow and future upgrade potential? I am currently leaning towards the Cooler Master MasterCase 5 or the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv.

There will be issues cause the prices arn't the same as 10 years ago. For R5k you'd get a entry level pentium PC with no screen and no graphics card.

Now if you had to say R10000 then we would be able to help you with a lekker system

The Enthoo doesn't have particularly good airflow.

Had the same experience with the P400S...the little intakes at the top \ bottom of the front of the case stifle airflow. A solid front panel is not the best idea or maybe the fan placement could be better.
 
Thanks for the comments on the cases so far. It looks like it will be between the Cooler Master and the Phanteks Pro M. The latter looks better for airflow than the Enthoo Evolv due to the open front panel.

BTW: Do tempered glass cases benefit from special handling when transporting them in the boot of the car or are they fairly rugged?

It's glass, tempered or not take care.

I have parts for a complete pc which I planned to build but never got around to. I want to sell it to get a Mac Mini. Do you think I should assemble the pc and try to sell it that way, or sell the loose parts as is?
Intel 6700, 8 GB RAM, motherboard, PSU, 256 GB SSD, CPU cooler and a case, all brand new and unused.

Hi,

So my brother in-law needs a new PC / laptop for work - only used for emails and word / excel.

He currently uses a laptop but has asked to maybe get prices for both and decide from there.

This is what I currently have:

CPU: Intel Core i3 6100 or Intel COre i3 7100

Mobo: Asus H110i Plus

Ram: Corsair 4GB

PSU: EVGA

SSD: WD Green 240GB

Case: Lian-Li Q03 or Lian-Li Q11

DVD Drive: LG (this is still a maybe tho)

I will need to get monitor, keyboard and mouse too but thats easy enough. More concerned about the parts I have listed and if there is anything better to rather go with or parts that need to be changed for compatability reasons or any other reason really?
