Thinking of an upgrade.

Current System:

AMD FX8150 3.6GHz
4 x DDR3 1333MHZ 4GB
Asus Crosshair V Formula

What I'm looking at:

MSI B450M PRO Motherboard
1 x DDR4 2666MHZ 16GB or maybe x2.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600

My RX580 under the AMD FX is struggling and I see other guys with the same GPU more than double my FPS which is sad.

Went with the 1600 AF from Wootware @ R2699 which not a bad price at all hey. Thanks ;)

Three weeks it was R2199 :( when I got it. But it's not a bad price still. Also Ryzens like fast memory try get the fastest you can get.

Finally got my stuff today, probably all of 2 weeks, ordered from Wootware, and their courier Dawn Wing, are fast asleep. Local branch does not answer their phone. Phone their Jo'burg number, and the lady promised to forward delivery instructions, e-mailed them twice, as well as contacting them via Twitter - seems it is impossible to communicate with local branch, via any method. Either, they do not react to delivery instructions or with there other branches. Possible, Wootware did not forward instructions, not sure.

But I still need RAM, and I do not know if I should order or not.

They finally delivered my stuff to the butchery, 3 premises down the road. Who gave me my stuff this morning. Awesome.

Wow that is a looooong delivery time, mine was in 2 days
 
Yeah, stuff was in Bloemfontein a long time, they kept trying to deliver late afternoon. We are only open mornings as lock down does not warrant being open whole day.

And if you cannot contact them to make arrangements. It is a bugger up.

Oh, they also cannot read the 2 notices on the door giving amended trading hours for lock down.

Bought the 1600AF from Wootware with Dawnwing next day will see when that gets delivered.

Went to Evetech just now to get the rest of the stuff for my build but the queue is like something I never seen before. It puts the sassa queues to shame. Probably about 50 or more people before me in the line. Think I will try again tomorrow.

I'm awaiting my delivery from Evetech still. Haven't even received their confirmation of my payment, even after emailing them to follow up. Quite annoying.

Should have taken a pic but yeah the queue woooooow in fact probably the longest queue I have ever seen there so they likely helping walk in customers first not sure just guessing by the looks of the queue outside. No parking at all needed to park very far at neighboring businesses that were closed and walked. Queue starts 30m+ outside of evetech gate so yeah I made a very quick uturn there.

I also have not even received a confirmation of payment from Wootware so next day shipping looks like it's not going to happen maybe by Friday. Don't know.

Well I like the GSkill RAM at Wootware, but damn, I don't want to wait, 11 days for the fast asleep courier crowd here in Bloemfontein. Wondering, if I phone Wootware and moan and bitch, they can talk to the courier crowd, and get them to switch on a little ambition and intelligence.

I do need the RAM, dammit. :(

Which courier? Dawning was quick in cpt . Don't think they use courier guy which is also been good to me

Dawn Wing - here in Bloemfontein, they do not answer their telephone. I e-mailed them twice, spoke on the phone to their Jo'burg office which promised to forward my delivery instructions, same on Twitter. Nada, nothing, bugger all. They made several attempts to deliver, when business was closed due to lockdown - reduced hours. But failed to read the notices on doors, with amended business hours. Finally they delivered the items to the butcher 3 premises down the road. Geez, these guys are worthless here. Worst is there is no frigging way I know of to communicate with them, that will yield results, for them, and myself.
 
Oh geez... I just ordered some RAM from them and they said in Thursday or Friday by the latest in the email... I need to build my PC this weekend and need the RAM.
