The OEM versions of Windows have been available to the general public for many, many years and have worked without problems. The main difference between OEM and Retail is that the OEM license does not allow moving the OS to a different computer, once it is installed.

What have they got to do with the R100 Msdn/enterprise licenses that are now being sold everywhere and are the reason for this discussion?

Simple. The OEM keys work, The others are probably fake like you mentioned.

It's confirmed, you don't know what the fk you are talking about. Microsoft Msdn/Enterprise keys are not fake, that's not the issue with them.

But let's move on because in true Mybb fashion we are derailing this thread needlessly.

I didn't say a single intake. I said a single fan could replace all the air in a case within a matter of seconds.

As for design, look at the vast majority of cases, way more forced intake vs forced exhaust. And some have no forced exhaust, but none have zero forced intake.

Anyway, I've been doing my own digging and have a revised opinion based on various tests I've seen (for a typical case layout)
If you want the absolute best temperatures go mostly exhaust (1-2°C drop in temps)
If you want reduced cleaning, go mostly intake (assuming intakes are filtered).
Real world difference to us plebs is negligible

No case fans cpu 71 degrees, GPU 92 degrees.
What people generally go for 2 front fans, 1 rear and 2 top cpu 55 degrees, GPU 76 degrees.
That's a 16 degree difference which will make a massive difference on performance.

I've already changed my opinion, but have no idea what the relevance is of mentioning the temperature difference to a test with no fans.

And don't look at a Fractal Torrent, it's all intakes and has some of the best temps in any review. My evolving theory is that intake or exhaust barely matters compared to actual placement, ie how the airflow is made is less important than where that airflow is. Pretty much the early 2000's PC cases with those massive fans on the side :p

They do tests with the fans in different areas, the best one for that scenario was the 2 in the front and 1 rear with 2 top.
Having one fan sure did do better then no fans but it wasn't a 16 degree difference, front fan only made 4 degrees difference on the CPU and 12 on the GPU. Rear exhaust made a 7 degree difference on the CPU but only 7 degrees on the GPU.
One top exhaust was between those 2. So yeah fan placement makes a big difference to all components.
So have one fan but make sure you need to decide which gets the more love.

I like the Torrent - it's more interesting-looking than most cases but technically-speaking, the top-mounted PSU pulls air out of the main chamber and exhausts it out the back. Nobody seems to mention that when they review it and it actually bugs me :laugh:

Still a pretty neat design.

Equally (more?) important to the number of fans you have is the actual case you’ve got them in. Your case may look awesome, but if there isn’t enough ventilation (looking at you, NZXT) your fans are just going to be swirling hot air around, suffocating all your components over time.
 
I need an nvme drive.

SSD 980 or 970 Evo Pro? What’s DRAM for and why would I need it?

Is there any reason to go for a 980 Pro?
