The Positives in SA thread

The Weather: yes, it's good. Port Elizabeth has amazing weather, when the wind dies down to a light, 20kts zephyr.

The Life-Style: Braai, Beer, Biltong, Boerwoors and Broads (5 B's) and Potjiekos, all under a clear sky.

That is where it ends, for me.
Wind? What wind? :D

Bad use of grammar.

It should not be ' me would like to congratulate...'

rather, ' me will like to congratulate...'.

Another Positive: South African Internet Communities.

Our Internet sucks, as a whole, but, at least in my opinion, our local communities exhibit a good deal more maturity than international ones. I have been an active member of several, most notably the old SACM forums (Dr. Boot), SGS and MyBroadband.co.za. The posters on all three had, and in some cases, still have, an innate ability to derail a topic but I like to believe that we're a little better than the "kthnxby" crowd on the int'l ones.

Sadly, I must scuttle my own post by saying that, at least until IP Geolocation is implemented by said forums, you can be a member of them communities and live in any country.

I will try be as positive about South Africa as I can.

I am positive South Africa is becoming another african sh1thole country.

Very good post mate ..all those positives are true and its about time someone pointed it out, shot bru! :)

Fairly obvious what he is referring to - perhaps it it the first post??

Another positive is to be getting rid of a load of wingers - all the wannabe Poms, assorted eurotrash, Yanks, Aussies and kiwis will be gone soon:

Watch the Jews, when they jump a country you know its really balls up.

Out of curiosity where did you live overseas that there was such an abundance of rolling green hills? :)

Luckily I have about 6 mostly geen hills visible( sometimes) from my vantage point.

On my way - I am the last branch of my Jewish family left in SA.
The rest are abroad for years.

there are still around 100 000 jews in south africa, guess u and me are the only ones on this forum :D
as for jumping ship...hmmm....israel has its postives and negatives...i presonally dont like the idea of being blow to bits on the morning bus..although obviously not everyone will jump ship to there..

personal postives:

cape town...thats it,cape town is prob the best city to be in..decent ruling party, beaches, women, table mountain, party stops and not as much violent crime in the city as there is in joburg

+1 positive: "tussen êrens end nêrens, binne die Karoo"

If you can see empty space between the stars on a clear night, you're too close to a town. Go further.

yep - SA is one beautiful country
