Good day to all reading this.
I have a question regarding the Poynting a-xpol-0002-v2 and the Huawei B315 but under my specific conditions.
The modem is situated in my bedroom, and outside is a carport with those wave like metal sheets as the car port roof.
The Huawei B315 modem was included with those antennas that connect behind the modem and those screw into the modem antenna ports.
Currently, in the modem setup website page, I have 4 green bars out of 5 green bars for signal, and I get download speeds of 22 Mbps (2.2 mb/s) to 40 Mbps(4 mb/s) in speed testing via the mybroadband speed test (http://speedtest.mybroadband.co.za) , using either the Johburg or Cape town server. Using Cell C LTE, its stated that we can get up to 69 Mbps on ideal network and coverage condition, and I get between 22 Mbps to 40 Mbps. I would love to squeeze out and enjoy higher lte download speeds if possible.
My question is, by using this Poynting a-xpol-0002-v2 antenna, can I get a stable high speed connection with an increase in download speed, since I am already sitting in the 4 green bars out of 5... or shall I stick with the basic included antennas that were included with the modem ?
Current perimeters for network signal which vary :
rsrq varies from -5dB to -8dB
rsrp varies from -90dBm to -91 dBm
rssi varies from -69dBm to -69 dBm
sinr varies from 18dB to 13 dB
According to the below info...
RSRP (dBm) - (Reference Signal Receive Power) - measure of the signal strength.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
more than -79 dBm - very good signal strength,
from -80 dBm to -90 dBm - good signal strength,
from -91 dBm to -100 dBm - poor signal strength. Need for an outdoor antenna or finding a better location of the modem
less than -100 dBm - very poor signal strength. It is necessary to use an outdoor antenna
RSRQ (dB) - (Reference Signal Received Quality) - measure of the signal quality.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
more than -9 dB - very good,
from -10 dB to -15 dB - good,
from -16 dB to -20 dB - bad. Need for an outdoor antenna or finding a better location of the modem
less than -20 dB - very bad It is necessary to use an outdoor antenna
SINR (dB) - (Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio) - measure of signal quality with respect to
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
interference.
---------------
more than 21 dB - very good,
from 13 dB to 20 dB - good,
from 0 dB to 12 dB - bad. It is necessary to use an outdoor antenna
less than 0 dB - very bad.It is necessary to use an outdoor antenna
RSSI - Received Signal Strength Indicator
----------------------------------------------
more than -73 dBm - very good,
from -75 dBm to -85 dBm - good,
from -87 dBm to -93 dBm - bad. Need for an outdoor antenna or finding a better location of the modem
less than -95 dBm - very bad. It is necessary to use an outdoor antenna
...my above network measurements seem ok but hoping that with the outdoor antenna, it would increase dramatically?
Thanking you guys in advance !
Hey dude
what Antenna did you buy?? i want to Achieve
RSRP -80
RSRQ - 10
RSSI -72
SINR 20
i have got 2542 Rand in my Bank. i want to buy External Antenna's i am sick of 1-2 Bars signal on LTE
