OT:

I see with Steam's latest regional pricing amendments that are usable by publishers that SA isn't spoiled anymore. Ever since that change was announced in March, it works as such:

I do pricing tracking, and yeah, best claim those premium games on Epic :whistling:

Eh, it is not that bad, except that some publishers hiked our pricing. Where we used to be in the low to middle, we are now more in the middle to high. Some publishers have us about 5-10% lower than the USD. This by large depends on the publisher, but I don't expect indie games to be 'cheap' anymore.

Some regions are suddenly being spoiled by the expanded conversion methods. I am curious what PPP model Valve is using. We are ranked 33rd, right? I don't see that in the pricing. It is possible that the publishers are now taking FX, and then min/max a percentage that they believe is best according to their regional Steam sales history.

Anyhow, be happy to have this thread.
This may be more related to them having the option but related to this GOG is now supporting ZAR with regional pricing. I wonder how that is going to affect the game.

GOG in ZAR is pricier than EPIC and Steam. I haven't scrubbed through GOG to gather enough data, but they do seem to provide us, overall, with a reasonable discount with a "DRM-Free" added tax or so to speak.

I took a look at the 3 latest releases and they're actually cheaper than Steam even if only by 5-10%. This is likely publisher dependant at this point as it's only been available for 4 days.

It also has to be set to ZA which is likely the case for most but if someone used a VPN before to visit it will stay in that region until reset by checking out. I've always used Russia and then Brazil after that was banned though.
