That takes me to the Gwent Card Keg instead. I can't find anything on The Witcher. It is on sale -85% though.

You have to have Gwent in your library (you can just start the download and cancel), then when you subscribe to the newsletter from that page it gives you the Gwent item and says you can claim The Witcher for free.

It takes you to the game page but even though it still says it costs $1.49, just click add to cart and when you go to checkout it'll be $0.00 and then you can claim it.

Weird it only gives me the keg. Perhaps because I already have Witcher in my library.

EDIT. Oh ok, now it mentions the Witcher. So I guess if you already have it you won't notice it's free.

Possibly, I wouldn't know because I created a GOG account just to redeem it lol.
 
I could only subscribe and get the game with the GOG Galaxy software.
If I tried it through gog.com Gwent wasn't added to my library.

Yeah you need to install GOG Galaxy to download Gwent, as soon as you start downloading Gwent, Gwent will be in your library.

For me I did that and then just refreshed the page for the promotion and it let me do it cause I was already logged in on the site.

I have Gwent from yonks ago from a code I got when it launched. This seems to be one of those weird GOG bugs though as mine keeps showing at a discount while others who have it is free.

Just check if the amount goes to zero after you add Witcher to the cart as mentioned above

Ok it does. That seems to be where the trick is rather than checking in the store.
