The Ubisoft Forward livestream will no doubt have a bunch of games to show off and a weird Just Dance segment that’ll make you wonder if your drink has been spiked, but there’ll be one other bonus for anyone in digital attendance: A free game, in the form of Watch Dogs 2 on PC.

Actually this is a true story. I'd rather pay R60 to not have to try keep refreshing crashing servers. I'm looking at you GTA V

The game requires Ubi's ecosystem. You own the license on Steam, it activates on Ubi and runs in Ubi.

Doesn't is sign you in through uplay as well? I remember not being able to play FC 3 when I bought it on steam, as uplay was down.

Yes, they don't integrate with SteamWorks. Ubi have their own economy, hence they can maintain it themselves and don't need to give Valve any other cut. It is only applicable to games with online inventories.

I wonder how it will work, whether you have to be logged in on their website and watch it on their website? They also have a YouTube stream counting down... The authentication must be done somehow.
