This is what Temba said according to Sport 24. It's definitely not a message of condemnation from the team but nor is it exactly a message of support if we are being honest.

"We would be lying if we said this didn't have an impact on us. It's publicly known that members of the team have been named in the SJN testimonies," he said.

"Mark has addressed us as a team, speaking up specifically on the accusations against him. He provided clarity and context. It was really about keeping the guys in his confidence and providing a form of comfort."

Lots between the lines there.

I wouldnt be surprised if Adams's testimony has resulted in him losing the respect of players.

Apart from Temba, I haven't heard anyone else speak out in support of him. CSA has a very strict media policy and the players are trained to give ambiguous answers without saying anything.

There haven't been messages of condemnation defininitely but he's not received messages of endorsement either.

...then we really don't know then, do we? They either do or don't so it's speculation on both our parts.

That's likely the case.

Most of the players from that era are conservatives who live by the "what happens in camp stays in camp" philosophy so they probably view Adams as a traitor or as being weak for revealing.
 
Anderson called dale the best, lets hope those comparisons stop forever. Fortunately got to see him bowl in 2019. Lets hope people don't forget how good steyn was.
 
Dale is an absolute legend. In the top 5 test fast bowlers of all time.
The comparison with Anderson is silly. The only thing Jimmy has on Dale is longevity, Jimmy not playing white ball cricket is the likely reason here. Last white ball game Jimmy played is more then 6 years ago.

Strikerate and average is what is important and Dale wins that hands down.
Dale should be compared to Marshall,ambrose,McGrath,hadlee,etc not anderson.

This... cant agree more.

Quality vs Quantity... Dales SR is up there in the monster tier with the likes of Waqar and Wasim, Hadlee, etc.

The only reason Jimmy has so many... is because hes played more matches than dale... and we know why that is...

Dale was also unlucky to have had so many injury issues throughout his career. He would have played more than 100 tests easily if not for that.

It was amazing that he actually managed to play until such a ripe old age in cricketing terms.. Many fast bowlers are done by their early 30s while others become medium pacers eventually in their early 30s. Dale was still bowling rockets into his mid and late 30s.
 
Speaking about cricket, there is an all-rounder from Zimbabwe Wesley Madhevere who looks like a class act.

He's only 20 and already looking in place, it's a pity that he plays for Zim because chances are if he commits to them forever, he will retire having played like 30 tests and mainly against Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Ireland.

It would be nice if CSA could actually negotiate with him to declare for us. As per the ICC rules, he would be eligible by 24.

Does anyone else get the impression we don't care enough about these ODI's even though they're important for next year 50 over world cup qualification? I hope klaasen proves me wrong cause I don't rate him.

If Dale had bowled the same number of balls as James, at Dales average, he would have taken 839 wickets. That's 200 more than James has taken... Nuts...

That's cool and all but lets be honest. We cannot assume steyn bowls as good that long. The scary thing with jimmy is that he's improving as he gets older.

Temba HAS to support him to keep the controversy out - controversy affects performance.
The alternative is not to comment = does not support him or say something which suggests he doesn't him.
And they're going to target Temba to spill on Boucher.

I wouldnt say Temba has supported Boucher but he's taken a neutral stance on the issue.

Whether or not he supports Boucher, we don't know but we will find out later when CSA does not police them anymore about what and what not to say.

The one thing CSA does well is give the players media education. Most of them know how to talk to the media without revealing anything. It can be considered censorship but it's also the reason controversies from active players have been few and far between compared to other codes.
