Lopsy is a terrible fielder and he's been very expensive the last few months he played. I would go with neither and choose De Lange since he has that x-factor...

Nicely balanced squad. Few players need to vindicate their selections though. Miller needs to deliver. More consistency needed from Wayne. Farhaan lucky to be included but now he must make good on the selectors faith shown in him.

Not going to get too heavily invested in this World Cup. Too traumatic. I might watch a bit.

His primary job is to take wickets, and that he does well. His record is better than Abbott's, including economy. As for De Lange, he has been expensive going at nearly six to the over this season while Tsotsobe at 4.5
 
We should actually just play our test squad. They could probably do no worse. The ODI one just seems like a weaker group of players...

Never mind recent domestic form, Steyn&Morkel would never have been dropped without a single chance back in the side. In ODIs Tsotsobe is as good as they are if nto better and no one can argue that fact!

The fact that the majority of people on this forum are not shocked at Tsotsobe's exclusion proves one things - they belong to the school of "The less Blacks in there the better."

In any other country this would be a shock! Not even the selctors themselves would make such a decision!
 
Ugh, not sure what to make of this squad. I'm not a fan of Behardien; not even close. But not sure who to put in his place. Abbott over Tsotsobe? Also a 50-50 selection for me. Tsotsobe is fantastic with the new ball! His issue arises when he comes back to bowl at the death. But why not bowl him his 10 overs on the trot?! He was ranked No 1 in the world for a reason.

I don't know, I just don't know. Behardien... Dafuq?!

Abbot is a much better death bowler and we lack in that department. We already have the vern who shouldn't be bowling at the end under any circumstances, can't be carrying 2 like that.

Also there have been rumours around that lopsy lacks commitment in training,ect If any of those stories are true it isn't a great surprise that he wasn't picked.
 
I'm very surprised that lopsy was left out, he bowled extremely well this season

It was bad enough for Rabada and Shezi to get into the queue ahead of him. Wouldn't be the first time poor attitude got in the way of great talent.
