The technical team looks pretty good. Our dream test team from a few years ago. Hopefully they become more permanent and Chris Nenzani disappears.

Are these coaching qualifications demonstrably good? Do level 4 coaches repeatedly do better in the Sunfoil Series/4-day franchise cricket than the level 1 and 2 coaches?

Abd hasn't coached a day in his life. Rather jacques kallis for me.
Not at test level. Those were the guys who went 10 years without losing a series away from home.
True, but that just amplifies their choker tag. Employ them as consultants and/or technical stuff.
And if i was Enoch, i would be pissed. Not because of not getting the head coach job, but because i lost it to...Boucher. That's got to be insulting.

This is interesting. With hindsight, AB's seemingly senseless retirement is starting to make more sense. I wonder if the new regime will lure him back.
How does that amplify any tag...They were part of our best ever test team(the pinnacle for any cricketer).
Yes it was harsh on enoch. Enoch should have never taken the job from moroe. He was handed a poison chalice.
But doesn't mean boucher isn't the right man for the job. He is the most successful current franchise coach in SA.
Because its the same players than failed spectacularly in WC's. Choking is not because you lose, but because members of the best ever team failed from highly winnable situations, making highly questionable decisions.
He isn't the right man, unless you want to improve on their choking skills. And he's certainly not the best. He has a chip on his shoulder. He was offered to do the level 4 course sometime back but refused. His success with the Titans for context, is with all those Proteas in that squad. Just to emphasize that point...Enoch's team won MSL19, while Boucher's team were 2nd last.
Enoch's record is wayyy better, and with success with many different teams, in 2 countries. Tried and tested vs one hit wonder.
