The Proteas - Our Team!

CSA on Rassie's unavailability: "The 32-year-old suffered a Grade One left quadriceps muscle strain. The Proteas medical team will evaluate and assess his progress as the KFC T20 series approaches and make a final call on his participation in due course."

We also do not play enough and it seems to be trending more in the direction of fewer and shorter series. Without opportunities, players are unlikely to become world class and lift our game.

When we re-entered in 1992, our provincial teams were of a very high standard even without international cricket. That is no longer the case.

So the only way to get better now is more international cricket.

There was a stat recently on cricket reddit about number of tests each country has played between 2000-2010 and 2010-2020. We had played about 18 less matches in the recent decade. Only windies and Zim had a bigger decline than us. With this and the board, I wonder if we can ever recover...

Also no Morris or Tahir, I assume our World Cup team will come from the above with the exception of maybe Faf.

I really hope that Zim A put up a decent effort in their second innings. It is important that our bowlers work for the win.
