The Ripple (XRP) thread

Interesting. Source?

Sure, XRP/KRW was sitting at $4 when global market exchanges were sitting in mid $2. Global markets were trying to catch up to the XRP/KRW price but that price was inflated and manipulated beyond measure and the global market figured it out early enough not to try rally to those rediculous levels.

I would have thought you knew about coinmarketcap removing the XRP/KRW and many other coin/KRW listings but have a look for yourself they are all excluded from coinmarketcap price discovery for a good reason for a few weeks now.

Ok. So it's a deduction you made from the charts on coinmarketcap?

Anyway, although I started this thread, I'm by no means an expert. I am also well aware of the removal of Korean markets. This affected many other currencies as well.

Most other coins which didnt benefit as much from KRW markets did not see the same drop in price after KRW markets were excluded.

XRP lost nearly 50% of its global market average ATH and nearly 80% on the KRW market average ATH.

If you dont see the KRW manipulation in these things I am definitely not going to try convince anyone, to me it is blatently obvious and it seems to have been blatently obvious to coinmarketcap also.

Take from it what you want. :)

I am not disagreeing with you. I see manipulation in almost all currencies.

An explanation that does make sense:

Asians (and in particular Chinese) spend a fortune and all my chinese colleagues but two are returning to China in a few weeks.

The chinese is not so much part of this manipulation round unless they figured out some magic way to trade on korean exchanges. The KRW based exchanges only allow Korean citizens to trade and no one outside not even other asian nations.

Agreed, but it's celebrated in all these countries:

Lunar New Year is celebrated in other Asian countries and territories, including Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore,[5] Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mauritius, Australia,[6] and the Philippines.

With the ripple price still dropping when would be a good time / price to buy?

I will probably by in again around $0.50 or lower, but again only a small amount. I don't have enough faith in it to go big with it.

Converted some old BTC I'd mined into a few altcoins. Got 120 XRP out of it. Currently at a loss of -£0.07 on each coin. But I've a feeling XRP is something long term, so just going HODL and forget about it for a while.

at super low. R14 yoh. luckily i sold a few off at 16. placed a stupid bid order to buy when was high and forgot.
