The Ripple (XRP) thread

I'm struggling to get registered/verified at exchanges trading in ripple. Wish Luno got its act together and launched it, same with XAPO.
Try binance or hitbtc.

Buying at these prices though...
Watch out for history repeating...

(Yeah I realize it could also be up 140% in a weeks time :p. But those people who bought down below are going to sell at time point.
Trade carefully on this)

Thanks Saor,

Yeah i'm a bit hesitant, I haven't really followed up on ripple enough and I think I missed the bus, but trying to get a grip on these emerging coins. (Not interested in BCash because of how its being run).

I have an account on XAPO and Coinbase but they don't deal with ripple yet...and I'm guessing as soon as ripple is enabled on coinbase it might spike in price.

That being said, I'm quite happy just HODLING my BTC and ETH that I currently have. I don't follow news and developments closely enough to make informed decisions...and also I havent touched my norwegian savings for any crypto yet so I might just lay low.

Rumour has it that Coinbase is not going to add XRP (among other currencies also).

Unless they pull that shady **** they did and secretly know they will launch it and not tell anyone, cause a huge spike in XRP and get rich off of it and then go "oops yea we launch ripple now"

Did they not do something similiar with BCH?

Bought 3300 XRP when the price was still 0.18 US cents... got a bit bored with it after it stayed at 0.19 for a few weeks and sold. Would have had over R100k now... ah well. You win some you lose some. :/

there will always be another opportunity. if not xrp then something else...

I bought a small amount at $0.17. I think it's time to take my initial investment out and move it to something new.

Also can't seem to find an app for altcointrader.co.za , but will probably have to use them as a last resort. All I wanna do is get some ripple traded and moved to my ledger, but I see they're charging like 20 ripple now just to create a trading address, seems unreasonably high given the jump in price.

You need 20 XRP in a wallet to claim that address.
It’s standard on any ripple wallet.

They don’t take the 20 XRP, it’s just the minimum you can have in a wallet.

I used GateHub to buy Ripple earlier last year.

Are you refering to altcointrader? How sure are you that they dont take that 20 ripple, in my view its listed as a fee so it will be deducted from your balance otherwise it should have been classified as minimum balance, has anyone tried and can confirm.

Any wallet requires 20 minimum, including altcointraders.
The 20 minimum is not a altcointrader rule or fee, but a general ripple rule. Understand?

The 20 XRP is yours, look as it like a deposit on the address.
When you transfer all your XRP out you take your 20XRP with you.
Altcointrader will charge you a fee of 1 XRP to withdraw.

I used GateHub to buy Ripple earlier last year.

Tried them now but no luck.

Sent some BTC to the BTC address in my wallet (using the deposit function) on there and it was confirmed last night but still nothing reflecting in gatehub.

Also the 1st app that appears in the playstore is a fake gatehub app that steals login info.

So it seems Gatehub is a bit of a flusterfsck.

In order to receive any transfers your wallet already needs to be active. So you can't buy ripple if you dont already have 20 ripple in your wallet.

This makes the whole thing a little pointless. If I have to buy ripple to send to gatehub to activate my wallet in order to buy ripple, I'll just keep buying ripple from the first place I got it from.

All I want from it anyway is to get the coins so I can slap it onto my ledger and forget about it. :/

Just buy ripple on altcointrader, it’s one of the cheapest places to buy.
Although, I won’t be buying now, it’s gonna correct soon.
