The RTX 4000 Thread

Yep Wootware with the Palit 4090 is the lowest priced 4090 across the board
Although I see the Zotac Trinity non OC isn't in stock which is supposed to be the MSRP model from Zotac so that so it might come later at a similar price to this Palit.

Cheapest price seems to be R35k

That is not too insane considering MSRP, imports duties and tax. It is the Palit, right? I am still not in this market, not priced within my allowable savings.

I am curious how 4090s Nvidia and their partners have allocated to marketing? I have never in any release history seen this many halo products in media circulation, and then there are giveaways by the loads. The US, Europe, Asia and down-under are having a blast with this release. We are as irrelevant as always.

Just listened to ASUS ROG stream. Distribution is staggered so that they can allow wider availability. Forecasts must be good. All that Nvidia is bad, well, consumers don't think so. Still too early to tell, it is how this month will close that will represent their launch. AMD on their launch will need to compete with the two 3080s...

At least Intel is showing promising sales in Europe, but I see that Nvidia IAB partners have already lowered the 3060's price, promotionally, to directly compete with Arc.

I see Nvidia shared some graphs on the 4080s,

Once the market recovers, I hope that there will be a price correction, then that 4080 16GB will be a real good buy, but don't get your hopes up. The global market is decaying by the day, and more European nations are recognising and admitting that they will be in a 2023 recession.

People are way overspending, but it is their money and choice.

Digital Foundry has had a look at pre-release DLSS 3 titles,

DLSS 3 is still going to take a while to mature. I would revisit this around December, and expect better adoption by Q2 2023.

Reports have it that the 4090 is selling out quick at retailers and that preorders are booked.
It's a $1,600 card at a time when prices are dropping and consumers are livid at Nvidia's behaviour. Hard to believe availability will be an issue. Maybe very briefly after launch, and probably never again.

Retailers are restocking, and Best Buy is also allowing queueing on the FE.

I struggle to see Nvidia's bad launch day, it seems to me that they are meeting demand in good order with the 4090. They clearly want availability spread.

That's... what I was saying. Availability will be fine.

I'm just holding thumbs for AMD's announcement. I'd really like to not support Nvidia.

Looks like Wootware has already sold out of Palit 4090 pre-orders..
