The RTX 4000 Thread

4090 performance is impressive, but that price just for a graphics card.... That PC build will probably be 100k which sounds pretty insane, but then again, a lots of rich people in the world

Who the hell has R35k to drop on a graphics card?

It is still going to take some time to mature, and the more devs are onboarded the better the samples they have to work with.

In my view, a better picture will be had by Q2 2023, but what about the consoles? I won’t be surprised to see a generational upgrade within the current console models.

I wonder at point does our brain stop benefitting from all the details and frame rate in games that these hardware offers

Very informative video, thanks

Well, if there is a supper wealthy person on this forum and that person wants to give me a 4090, be sure I will never use it. Just plugging that thing in would scare Eskom to Load shedding schedule 15.

The biggest problem is, everyone already sold their souls for a 3090. What the hell are they going to sell to get the 4090?

They paid $3000-$4000 for 3090s. Even though retail in South Africa looks like this again. Its easy to just order from Newegg or Bestbuy through MyUs.

YouTubers being YouTubers,

Don't Undervolt the RTX 4090

DEFINITELY Undervolt the RTX 4090.

Der8auer limited the power targeted.

Cynic in me says they're pushing the prices this high to clear their 3000 series inventory backlog.

51RISC RTX 40 GPU with a spirit level

The 51RISC is a small company operating at Chinese e-tail websites such as AliExpress. It looks like NVIDIA has sent enough GPUs to China for these companies to experiment, with the following results:

51RISC has a new GeForce RTX 4090 GPU based NVIDIA reference PCB but featuring completely custom cooler. It’s a proper 3-slot cooler as well, so if you have no room for the crazy 3.5 – 4 slot GPUs, this might be the card for you to get.

For those worried about a GPU sag, this card has an interesting solution, two spirit levels installed on the card itself. This will immediately show if the card is sagging. Unfortunately, 51RISC is not adding a VGA support bracket for this card, which is more or less the case for every other brand.

This model has default clocks and configuration, so it will perform just as well as any RTX 4090 with stock settings. There is no OC button here, so any overclocking will have to be applied manually.

A rather pointless, but nice touch.
