On a good day they can be competitive like the last New Zeeland game showed, but a "competitive" showing is the best they can hope for. On a bad day a number of teams are going to blow them away.

I don't take much of what Eddie says seriously, he is after all the master at them "mind games". He must try and convince his own players that they have a chance!
I honestly can't think of any current Aussie player that I would pick in any best of the World team, not even if I have to pick two teams.

They on the right side of the draw so will likely progress to at least the quarters... then Argentina and Australia respectively...

The top 5 ranked teams are all on the other side of the draw... World rugby f ucked the draw up royally. 3 of the Top 5 ranked sides will be out by the semi finals (either Scotland, Ireland, South Africa, NZ or France)
 
Imagine getting red carded in a warm up match now?
