The ANC must come out and explain why their BEE policies have failed so drastically. There are way too many whites in position of power in municipalities around the country. It is unacceptable.

This guy destroyed his political capital after his second political exit. Unfortunately a mayor of a small municipality doesn't equate to anything much really. I think he let all the glowing media reports of him being a good black mayor of a small town get to his head. Thought he'd outgrown the DA and now he's out in the cold.

He should have just bided his time and run for premier of Gauteng behind the DA. Would have been his best shot at the big time. Then he could have given them the middle finger. Now he'll be scrubbing the back benches with has-beens like Magashule Gana et al. Too bad.

There are three options for what he'll announce IMO:

• Joining RISE
• Joining BOSA
• Starting his own stokvel or running as indy MP

They have her, John Jeffery (Spelling?), Deputy Minister of Justice and ol' Dugmore here in WC. But none of them are in national/big ANC leadership roles.

I'd love to see the standard used for the DA and the complaining about "black leaders" used on other parties...
