That is why we are prepared to revive the coalition agreement on which our previous coalition government was based before we were toppled from power when the PA voted with the ANC.


Given that we face the Council vote tomorrow, this is the only way in which, at the 11th hour, there is any chance of establishing an alternative coalition to replace the ANC/EFF without ensuing chaos, conflict and instability.

Yeah. It seems they'd support Ngobeni but not Phalatse... From posts I've seen from DA members they've mentioned this, so I think DA might back Ngobeni today.

We'll have to see...

Not exactly surprising. The RETs and EFF have basically the same ideology. Either ATM will merge with EFF or they'll simply die out, now that their only member except Zungula has left for EFF.

In a way it would be disappointing if ATM dies, because the more parties there are who cater for stupid people, the better. It dilutes the stupid vote. If all the politicians that stupid people love move to ANC and EFF, the stupid voting block becomes more powerful.
