And I have answered, that is bulk water, Rand Water, Magalies Water, they all provide bulk water, the contamination is very localised.

With all this loadshedding it's most likely something in the food, that's the first thing I would suspect, unless I live in Hammanskraal.

e-coli levels go through the roof like what is happening on durban beaches after the treatment plants were damaged after the floods. That is also why your rivers and vaal dam are polluted and overgrown with that green stuff because most of your treatment plants are broken because of bee/aa/transformation and why the army was called in a few years back that fixed fokkal.

Ive caught those kak sucker trucks discharging the tank into the local river before at an isolated area...no one cares... Its almost like we want polluted water...

There's also this shítty little river(literally) that runs close to the Pretoria botanical gardens where you smell the raw sewage if you drive past.

The DA is definitely to blame here. They haven't cleaned up the ANC corruption in the last 10 years, they just left things to deteriorate, and now they are coming with BS stories that it would cost billions to fix. (That's the corrupt ANC BEE tender price. Not an actual reasonable cost estimate. )

They all use tenders to fix things, and tenders are expensive.

True, but if you don't have an idea and capacity everything becomes expensive, municipalities have zero capacity and have to outsource for almost everything.

It's like owning a car and having no idea how the mechanics and electronics work, if the workshop tells you it costs R20k to replace a cambelt and tell you of the consequences if you take it to a backyard mechanic and he gets it wrong you will end up feeling the reassurance that comes with the massive price is better. You might go somewhere and they change you R18k, it will still just be as expensive compared to the actual cost.

That's the position the municipality finds itself in now, they are not skilled, don't have the capacity for anything and are the mercy of tenderpreneurs who might be just as useless.

If you buy anything you should educate yourself on the basic input cost. If a car dealership tells me it R20k to change a cambelt I'll tell them to fsckoff. You don't have to be an expert on cars you can check the price by getting a quote for just the parts and the labour rate per hour and at least make a informed decision.

The municipality employ a shítload of experts, project managers, engineers, and other idiots that can look a picture of a waste water treatment plant and figure out a ballpark amount of what a few small holding dams a few pumps and stuff cost. It isn't billions.
