There are many aspects of this that are bad:
1. ActionSA's core messaging is that the DA is arrogant. There is nothing more arrogant than this whole Mashaba debacle. This guy is an egotistical megalomaniac, pretty much the height of arrogance. I doubt they will be able to accuse the DA of arrogance again without everyone rolling their eyes.
2. This was a very unethical and frankly fraudulent incident. The last thing you want your politician leaders to be is unethical and fraudulent. Mashaba loves his books about how amazing he is, that's fine. But be honest and transparent that you pay people to sing your praises.

Noone wanted to write the no-holds-barred unauthorised Mashaba biography, so he hired someone to do it. Sounds like a problem solver to me.

The publisher pulled the book because the author didn't declare that Mashaba paid him.

It is again by-election Wednesday and we have quite a few of them! Pretty sure that the DA and ANC will hold 2 wards each, not sure about the Lesedi by-election as we have experienced huge swings in the past to the FF in DA/FF wards, where switching to the FF from the DA will not allow the ANC to win the ward through the middle.
