DA vote share went up in Chatsworth. ANC absolutely crushed. The Indians love the DA!

DA leader John Steenhuisen has accused the ANC of playing the race card to divide South Africans.

ANC: have been playing the fear of Apartheid for elections the past 20 years they know they are useless and playing on people emotions now, even that is failing now. They only have themselves and the voters to blame for the situation of the country.

Both ANC and DA are guilty of petty race politics and play the race card when it suits them. They know that it is a way to get votes considering SA's issues.

With the help of the IFP obviously, they are a good partner and they respect the authority of the Moonshot leader.

They are loyal now because DA will seemingly support them to takeover KZN but I think they will have disagreements at some point. The IFP have their own issues which are deep.

Buthelezi has been wanting to retire but cannot because of the infighting over who should succeed him.

Shouldn't it be clear by now that the guy who is now the leader is the successor to the throne, or is he just a placeholder?

Buthelezi has done his fair share of contributing to the cult mentalilty. Even the ANC has moved on from Mandela as soon as he stepped down, but here we have the IFP hunting down those who wear T shirts that doesn't bear the face of Buthelezi, and the man just sits there and says nothing.

He was supposed to be a good elder who encourages the party to let go of him and find their own way, not holding on to be a permanent symbol of the party.

I think Buthelezi is more of the placeholder. He is 95 now and unlikely to be doing much.

Hlabisa (possibly also Narend Singh) call the shots in the party. Hlabisa more or less is leader but they just had to bring back Buthelezi to halt the controversy (for now) about Hlabisa being leader because all do not accept it.
