Where they don't outright coalesce with ANC, they vote with ANC.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lost seats or stagnate in 2024. Both in WC and nationally.

It sounds like a good campaign strategy to woo the Sowetans but I would still like to hear more on how they are going to make them pay for the IPP power.

TBH I think this is just a case of Aunty Pat needs to build a "useful" sized base so she can merge with a bigger party (the ANC is about her only option, since the DA won't touch her again).

I agree. It's the second time she's allied with the ANC, the first was in the mid-2000s when the ID was still around (pre-DA merge/cooperation).

I don't think DA will be as happy to merge with or even work with GOOD. And it seems the feeling is mutual from GOOD's side.

It isn't wrong. If you consciously voted ANC, regardless of everything they've ****ed up and knowing about their blatant misrule and them being the root cause of SA's current situation, then you need to shut up because you're part of the problem.
