Tough going for the ANC having so many "promising" Individuals to choose from.

ANC VOW TO RENEW ITSELF IS FAILING: A LOOK AT WHAT TAINTS LEADERSHIP CONTENDERS

Hands up who's surprised.

ETHEKWINI - The ANC’s much contested eThekwini regional conference reached a stalemate in the early hours of Sunday morning as delegates clashed over the legitimacy of conference credentials. The gathering had to be adjourned as the members differed over the voting status of the regional task team - an interim leadership structure.

Well, if you saw Durban's first council meeting after the LGEs last year, you won't be surprised at this ****. Will never forget that shitshow...

Lol.

I also like how they don't even mention potential leaders for ANC WC since it would probably be Dugmore again.

VERY important for the leadership conference in Dec. 2022. The RET faction won't be able to even mount a bid if they don't receive considerable support in KZN, and eThekwini is the the biggest region in KZN, so if they lose there, it's hard to see how they would win in KZN. Hence the in-fighting, corruption allegations etc.

Yeah, KZN is ANC RET's home base, if they lose control of ANC KZN, they're ****ed (wouldn't be sad to see them lose tho).

Then nothing, you will hear what ANC English apparently sounds like, you can compare it to the DA English or do whatever you want with the newly found information, knowledge is power.
Perhaps we can compile a list of dialects related to political parties and send it to DHET to incorporate this into the ENN1504 module at UNISA (or its Workplace English equivalent at other unis)?

lol

Thar was a narrow one, that's why they were fighting over credentials, sure team Cyril will be encouraged by the numbers.

Don't think it's encouraging on anyone that the RET made a clean sweep of the leadership in that region.
Not at all... But it's a continuation of the ANCs continuing spiral down if you ask me...

This move is going to cost them further at the polls in 2024

It is very encouraging if you are able to see the bigger picture. KZN has always been the type of province to elect people like Gumede to positions, no other ANC leader has challenged that dominance the way Cyril has, he has the biggest support for a non Zulu ANC leader in the history of the ANC, even Mandela never had the support that Cyril had over there.

Compare her win to the previous one and you will see just how weak she has become from how she was going into 2017 to now. She will be leading a region that will not have the number of delegates they had in Nasrec 2017, the faction that lost will still have delegates going to the December conference, the narrow victory is the reflection of the delegates from the region that would be voting for a new leader.

She has won but there is no way she is going to call the shots with that amount of support, half of her slate facing criminal charges is also not going to help her one bit, the provincial conference is definitely not going to be a walk in the park for her.
