Case number 35402/2010 – the Mabuzas and the giant Mpumalanga land claims ‘scam’

Deputy President David Mabuza, his wife, the dodgy farmer who ‘hijacked’ a community trust, the conman, Pam Golding Properties and the R45-million illegal sale.

• The pattern of fake land claims and overvaluation of farm values is believed to have extended throughout Mpumalanga – a fraud estimated to have cost taxpayers R2-billion.
• The Mpumalanga Land Claims Commissioner and a middleman local farmer were at the centre of land-sale “flips” that saw instant superprofits of tens of millions of rands – at the expense of South African taxpayers.
• Campaigners against the illegal land grabs have been murdered. Conservationist Fred Daniel has faced harassment, arson, smear campaigns and death threats in his fight against false claims and blatant fraud.
• Leading estate agency Pam Golding has been closely involved in some of the Nkomazi Wilderness deals – though it is highly unusual for a commercial property company to broker land under hereditary claim. CEO Andrew Golding did not respond to questions seeking clarity on the matter.
• A 12,000ha swathe of a once-beautiful nature reserve, in the foothills of the Makhonjwa Mountains, is collapsing into obscurity and ruin – having been used since 2015 as a fattening kraal for cattle.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila said it was postponed to 13 May for amendments and finalisation of the charge sheet.

The Hawks initially said Grose was linked to the misappropriation of TERS funds but later corrected its statement, saying she was not involved.

Instead, she is accused of money laundering related to food parcels and for allegedly diverting money to a church.

If she's found guilty, then I find it fair and square for her to be jailed. If innocent then all I can say is, lol...

ANC chief whip Noluthando Makasi said it did not make sense why the councillor would only step aside from her party and not in council.

Yeah, 2024 will essentially decide SA's fate. Nice and symbolic too, since it will be 30 years of democracy then, nice spot to start an ANC-free gov era.

If ANC wins or leads a coalition - SA is ****ed
If ANC loses or is not part of any coalition - hope is renewed and SA might just be saved.

The most likely situation in 2024, is either a marginal ANC win or ANC wins with a minority partner. They will be able to definitely get the backing from some of the 1-2% parties in 2024 in exchange for giving them jobs. They used a similar strategy to retain Durban.

ANC could potentially lose in 2029.
