Well, yes, if you are strategic when in politics and balance it with your business interests, you can become rich as even Tony Leon was doing. All the political parties have people who have used it to become rich. Similarly, all political parties have people who actually are genuine and who are actually not making as much money as we think they are.

With his faults, I actually think Mashaba is one of the genuine ones who took a salary cut to get into politics because he thinks his policies can help people.

Dean did not trade a shoe-in for premiership to become a social media marketing manager.

I will tell him not to look too smug, and strictly nothing to be said about the right wingers in his acceptance speech, maybe they will leave him alone.

He doesn't realize but he creates lot of free publicity for them. And then many forumites get poor due to voluntary donations as they have a duty to defend their own. It is like Muslim brotherhood to be honest - looking at it from outsider's perspective.

Point is he has a key role in the DA and is a troll. He is driving people away from the DA rather than bringing him in. If he was part of another party, he would be getting a lashing from forumites but he gets a pass because he is in the DA.

These politicians don't have a very heavy work load, so they have lots of time to sit around on their phones and talk **** on social media.

Based on ? I know a number of family and friends that are DA supporters and they would have mentioned if you had asked their opinion, or are you using the crystal ball method.

They said they want to "take a break from the DA" in JHB. So they probably aren't going to recoalesce with DA in JHB anytime soon. Didn't they basically say yesterday that the coalition doesn't exist anymore making everyone free agents?

Maybe they are finally waking up, if they continue with their current relationship with the DA they are just going to end up like the Freedom Front, their only function would be to make DA dreams come true.
