Good. I am glad she has fight in her.

I'm in CT for a bit.. man you guys have it nice here. Though I am only in the CBD - I have to wonder if other parts of CT are as clean and orderly. Might even consider moving here.

Not all parts of the city are nice. The leafy southern suburbs are quite a bit nicer than places east of the M5.

Yes, they already did this in the Western Cape. Listen carefully.
So Bongani actually did not trade anything, some conditional premiership position is not a thing until it becomes a thing, so wake me up when the DA does govern Gauteng, then we'll talk about what he has lost out on.

ANC won't hand in any argument probably (since they have none).

I think the docs from Rama's time at the head of the Cadre Deployment Committee will be spicy.
I'll put good money on them not actually existing...

Great, more firearms in criminals hands.

Gauteng officers are searching for three suspects who robbed the Devon police station in Ekurhuleni and fled with 10 firearms, including three rifles.

Police spokesperson Col Athlenda Mathe said the police were robbed in the early hours of Wednesday.

Suttner is an idiot. To summarize every single op-ed he’s ever written: “I’ll only ever vote ANC and no one else. I can’t vote ANC anymore and therefore the system is broken”

Didn't the others pull the same stunt, resign from their position and not from our DA, oy to resign from our DA some time later? Maybe people have a right to be suspicious.

It's strategic. He will almost certainly leave the party.

He did good work to grow the party in KZN and it got its highest ever voting percentage in KZN under him but trust that he will be called incompetant soon. He was an ally of Maimane as well so his days were always going to be numbered under the new regime, especially as he did not rebrand himself.

That's why Mashaba chased you away when you start showing signs, he got tired of people resigning in dribs and drabs.

Something I can agree with Dawie on, for once! The PA momentum has been stopped - I do recall a by-election not too long ago where the PA vote collapsed in favour of the DA...
Yup.

They've committed seppuku by working with ANC nationally. NNP syndrome (the coined term for this kind of thing by yours truly).

And yeah, PA is getting nailed for it. We've seen it in Prince Albert and Matzikama.

He's leaning into the "DA RIGHT WING NOW" narrative, etc.

He's heading to ASA most likely, a lot of times recently those who leave the DA who come up with **** like that head out to COPE: DA, I mean ASA...

I still don't get how the DA is apparently right-wing. If they're right-wing, what the hell would the IFP and VF+ be then? Extremists?

But there is one, rather radical, change to the electoral system that could help to reduce the instability of governments in legislatures where no party enjoys an overall majority.
This would be to impose an electoral threshold, requiring a political party to obtain a minimum percentage of the votes to qualify for seats in a legislature.

Good idea, really.
