There is no redemption for him on the forum. He has made blasphemous statements. It is nearly like he has stated the facts about a well known prophet who would be a pedophile in today's times. There is a cult on mybb similar to muslim brotherhood. Fortunately, cult is toothless due to most of them not having in jobs.

To be vaguely openminded (which I can never officially claim to be :p) I would honestly like to know some of his impressive achievements as MEC for Education in Gauteng.

What is wrong with Zille? Nobody will say.
Many have said.
Most of the problem is that she's a trouble maker who's costing the DA votes. She's also decided to go the Trump right wing route of being antiwoke. That's manifesting in her giving up on the DA trying to be inclusive and win the black vote. Mind you she started the strategy of parachuting in black leaders for the purpose. She's not made an about turn on that.

Wokeness is what's going to destroy this world.

For me, Zille has one fundamental flaw and that is a complete and utter lack of tact.

What she says may be true, but the way she says it is entirely wrong
You can't please everybody all the time, that's impossible. I like the straight talk. Problem is there are too many snowflakes these days.

Don't get me wrong, the straight talk is refreshing at times, but there are times when I just put my head in my hands and go "Helen, you retard, you could have been way more tactful and ultimately said the same thing without pissing off almost everyone"

Does that justify throwing the baby out with the bath water?

@TheChamp is just full of ****. I don't know why you lot continue to engage him. Obviously he is just trolling at this point.

TBH I'm not entirely sure he is trolling, and if he isn't I'm actually interested to know what he feels Lesufi is impressive...

Maybe we've all missed something in our inherent dislike for the man due to his social media butterfly nonsense and his attitude towards Afrikaans.

One of his successes that is close to my heart is the improvement of the quality of education in township schools, most of the schools of specialization launched are in townships, I know people like to scoff at those from their privileged positions but no one understands the value of that investment more than those who are the beneficiaries, it makes a huge difference.

The gap in pass rates between townships schools and private and the schools in the surburbs has also been significantly reduced under his tenure. Up skilling of teachers in those schools is now a continuous thing with workshops held regularly and the results are showing in the performance of the schools, my sister teaches of those it is not just something I read about in the media.

The matric pass rate is also there for anyone to see, from the total dominance of the Western Cape before he took over to toppling the WC from the number 2 spot, it's all therefor anyone to see.

The Gauteng Education he leaves behind is leaps and bounds ahead of where he found it when he was appointed, you can hate the man all you want from KZN, but we the residents of the province, especially those of us who come from disadvantaged backgrounds knows what he has done for education in the province, especially where it is needed most.

Lastly, it would be scandalous not to mention just what a responsive MEC he had been, even the DA did give him credit for that before they started going right wing, hope he continues being as responsive as a Premier, never let the right wing tantrums pull him down.

all this fluff. We are not in townships and not interested in their improvement. Also, if WC is now a number 2 spot, that shows how he has manipulated system and bribed makers. Can you imagine a republic of mostly Europeans coming 2nd? Which world do you live in?

Shot :)

And you know what, I would wholeheartedly agree that those are good things.

Personally I'm not sure they necessarily outweigh the negative he brought to the position, but that would be a personal opinion more than anything else, and maybe he should remain in the Education space if he is doing those good things rather tha letting someone else into that space. Education is the most important thing to resolve many of the issues in this country.,
