LOL, okay so he's not the one who was discussing "work" in that voice recording?

Edit: Solly is the one who was recorded having sex with a woman in his office. Unless there are two Sollies with the same name.
That's Steven's Mokgalapa.

What an unflattering picture...

But congratulations to him, I personally look forward to his leadership, it will be said to lose him at basic education but he is in a position to make sure that all his plans are realised, my greatest worry has always been that he would be appointed a minister of some useless ministry in cabinet.

You really have an entirely unjustified opinion of that man.. He is entirely useless and incompetent. Even if he isn't corrupt, he won't do anything of any real value to the citizens of gauteng.

There are a **** ton of by-elections on the 30th of Nov...

Eastern Cape

Mhlontlo - Ward 20
Strong ANC ward. Will most likely hold.

Enoch Mgjima - Ward 33
ANC is susceptible here. Only got 44% last year. Although a win for the UF here might not allow overthrowing of ANC, it would still be good if the ANC gets sucker punched by someone in eastern EC of all places.

Gauteng

Mogale City - Ward 22
Strong DA ward. Will most likely hold. Another firefight between DA and VF+.

Merafong City - Ward 4
Ward ripe for ANC overthrow. They only got 32% last year in this ward. Although about muni structure I'm not sure. The ANC currently governs by coalition with one of the smallernyana parties I assume. And even if the UF takes a ward off ANC there, the EFF will most likely back ANC anyway...

Kwazulu-Natal

uMdoni - Ward 10
Extremely strong DA ward (84%). They'll hold.

uMsinga - Ward 11
IFP on the defence. Strong IFP ward (60%). They'll most likely hold or improve perhaps.

AbaQulusi - Ward 13
IFP on the defence. Got 49% last year.

Mthonjaneni - Ward 5
Super close ward. ANC got 50.37% and IFP 46.50% last year. If IFP takes the ward, they'll govern alone.

Maphumulo - Ward 11
Another close one. ANC got 46% to IFP's 39%. Another gap for the IFP.

So in summary.
DA is on the defence for two wards. IFP is on the defence for two wards.
ANC is on the defence for the rest. ANC is at risk of losing more wards to IFP in KZN. Could possibly lose the ward in Gauteng and Enoch Mgjima as well.

You must be confusing him with your KZN MEC, the guy is very far from being incompetent and useless, he is a good leader, a hard worker and a visionary, his track record in the department of Education is impressive.

Sure I am well aware that the troubles of the ANC are not going to be solved by one person,l but I still welcome his leadership of the province nonetheless, there are people living there, it's not all about the ANC.

His track record is impressive? Only if you call a person who is more interested in being a racist social media Swan impressive I suppose...

It's a pity that the most useless coalition government is the one that seems more stable.

I think it's because the coalition in TSH is almost completely made up of the UF anchor tenants (DA, ASA, ACDP, VF+. They constitute exactly 50% of seats of the council).

Sure, he Failed to act decisively and promptly against senior officials implicated in the corrupt tender for decontamination of schools despite the preliminary report given to him by SIU and refuses to make the report public.

He failed his own promises to make places available for 1st day school opening and funded vacancies not been filled, leading to unnecessary pressure on teachers who carry a greater load of work.

Failed to spend a large amount of his departments budget including building new schools and repairs to existing as well as incurring over R922 million in irregular department expenditure.

Lets also not forget to add this.

Yeah if it was a choice Tshwane would be sacrificed for Joburg, it would save the coalition from embarrassment, their performance is going to be a very bad advert for the coalition government, I don't know if there is anything that's going to happen soon to redeem them.

Don't dismiss the ANC skills and tricks.

Once we're all on social welfare, we're going to need them. We can lure German tourists to South Africa with an ANC circus while Kroek in a hoed circles the tent with his entourage, keeping them safe, shouting SHARRRUP ever 5 minutes. Lindiwe can do her high-heeled cow-grate walking trick in the ring. Once the Germans are enthralled, Panyaza can put on his Koeitjies and Kalfies fence jumping jeans, traumatizing the women and kids in his gogga-maak-vir-baba-bang jig. In between we will have many other class performances. Of course, the final highlight will be when our minister Fikile Fear Fokkol makes all the transport rentals disappear despite Minister Sharrrupp, just like he did with the railways

Nowhere else in the world will you get another show like this. These people have skills.
