engaged him in the past":
Just going to bookmark this post so we can return to it at the next LGEs.That is quite vague and could mean anything.
How do we not know that Mashaba is not referring to their time in the DA when they did engage?
Either way, Zwakele did bring up some good points about the DA in his resignation. He got the DA their highest ever voter percentage in KZN and I'm looking forward to seeing what the excuse will be for Francois Rodgers when the DA support in KZN declines under his leadership.
What will you say if the vote percentage increases for the DA?
but the DA polls will probably tell a different story.
It must be desperate times if they are going to make a big song and dance about a mere councillorbut I guess for a change it feels good to have someone walking towards them than away from them.
Sure they are, although you will admit that the members they usually unveil are more high profile than just being a councillor. So, the ASA is also desperate as they do this all the time?
What the DA is good at is PR, it seems they can pretty much spin anything into a positive, sure if they do go down in KZN they will find a way to project that as growth.People will defend the DA's polling but if I recall it predicted they would get an all time high under Maimane and we know how that went.
Now that he’s a free man, when is his court case?![]()
Zuma takes veiled swipe at judiciary, mocks political opponents in public address | News24
During his first public appearance after his 15-month sentence ended on Friday, former president Jacob Zuma made a veiled attack on the judiciary and mocked his political opponents.www.news24.com
Hasn't this always been his thing? He should come out already or forever SHUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.
As far as I'm concerned any parties polling will skew high since there is an inherent bias in their approach.People will defend the DA's polling but if I recall it predicted they would get an all time high under Maimane and we know how that went.

I'm a DA voter and I have no idea who this Zwakele person is. DA voters vote for good governance, not for personalities. That is quite vague and could mean anything.

Yeah, it's widely accepted that IFP will lead the charge for the UF in KZN...And yes the DA will always struggle in kzn when there is a party like the IFP in the mix...
100%, they have to do what they can to grow their party.Alright, fair enough. But to be fair, the DA need to do all they can to win voters - as does any party (Except the ANC, they don't care about such things). So, I personally don't see an issue with DA (or ASA) doing these "reveals" - for the average voter, it makes literally no difference, at this point.
It does not matter now, Rodgers is not going to admit anything even if it is true, Mncwango should just move on but unfortunately in such instances everyone will want to have a last word so this is going to go on for a while, I feel it will be more damaging for the DA as a brand but they usually don't have the maturity to just let things go, especially when Zille is involved."Mcwango rubbished Rodgers' statement, saying: "I think Helen [Zille] wrote that statement because I engaged with Francois before resigning. We had a cordial talk. The statement is silly, and I will not entertain that rubbish."
Who is lying? We also really cannot put it past Zille to have written the statement on Francois' behalf. She does have a clear tendency to get involved in DA provincial matters which are relevant nationally as Zwakele will know very well.

Cmon, it's been like this every time. "Nah, we've talked in the past, but I'll consult him again"That is quite vague and could mean anything.

uMngeni will be crucial for DA support in KZN. If Pappas keeps doing well, we just might see that the DA's support goes up in KZN.He got the DA their highest ever voter percentage in KZN and I'm looking forward to seeing what the excuse will be for Francois Rodgers when the DA support in KZN declines under his leadership.
